The Vampire Diaries
Today’s generation is ecstatic about supernatural thrillers that send a chill through the bone. Vampires and werewolves fire their imagination and they travel into another world agog with passion and intense drama that drives them crazy.
One of such supernatural dramas is The Vampire Diaries. There is a book of the same name by LJ. Smith and the series is based on this book. Currently, the third season of the series is featured on DISH Network local channel named CW and it is a hot favorite.
The setting is in a hypothetical small town which is inhabited by supernatural beings who haunt the town with their ghastly activities.
The prime focus of the series is on a romantic linkage between a 17 year old girl Elena Gilbert and a vampire called Stefan. There is a twist in the story with the arrival of another vampire called Damon who is the elder brother of Stefan. He returns to take revenge from his brother and he bears malice against everyone in the town. The highlight is that he also falls for Elena because she resembles his past love interest Katherine. The other characters include Jeremy Gilbert, Bonnie Benett, Caroline Forbes, Tyler Lockwood and Matt Donovan. Jeremy Gilbert is Elena’s younger brother and Bonnie Benett is her best friend. Caroline Forbes is her close friend and Tyler Lockwood is her childhood friend. Matt Donovan is her ex-boyfriend. Other characters are Alaric, Klaus and Mikael.
